About Mad Loon Media
A brain child of Jeffrey O'Brien and Evan Rashby, Mad Loon is our way to tell unqiue stories and work with talented artists hungry to create. Classically trained as a screenwriter and composer, Mad Loon resists being fit into a box. The stories we tell come from our diverse background of interests and often cross genre and medium.
Evan Rashby is a composer, filmmaker and editor with a deep love for cinema and the natural world. He's worked on numerous short films, a feature film, advertising, library music and more. Most recently he was awarded BEST SOUNDTRACK for his work on "Ekspats: We're Going To Africa" - an animated TV Pilot which premiered at ANNECY INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION FILM FESTIVAL in 2024. He currently works as a freelance composer for HANS ZIMMER's BLEEDING FINGERS MUSIC contributing to their library track collaborations with EXTREME MUSIC.
Jeffrey O’Brien is a screenwriter, filmmaker, and colorist whose style pulls heavily from his former jobs in marine biology and teaching. He’s written tv episodes for animation, consulted for and revised feature scripts, and managed the production of an award winning animated pilot.
He’s also written, directed, and produced two short films. His first won ‘Best First Time Filmmaker’ at the San Diego Short Film Festival.
